    Artichoke Embroidery Fabric designed by William Morris.‘ Artichoke Embroidery’ is an exquisite embroidered silk. Inspired by Morris’ own design ‘Artichoke’ from 1877, it has repeating patterns of large traditional motifs, illustrating his preoccupation and love of near Eastern and Italian woven silks and velvets. Morris studied a number of these at the South Kensington Museum, now the Victoria & Albert Museum. 51% Viscose 35% Silk 14% Polyester.

Named after the lady who embroidered it Mary Isobel comes richly embroidered on linen and on 100% silk and is also available in a printed fabric in the Morris V Collection. 60% Silk 40% Viscose.
