So it follows that this motif is an eternally elegant damask drawn from the archives of Gainsborough the renowned silk weaving mill. Now reinterpreted as a sumptuous runner this design is woven by another of Britains oldest and most prestigious manufacturers: Axminster Carpets. A true celebration of traditional craftsmanship and timeless design.

POATaking its name from the Celtic goddess of flowers and springtime OLWEN is a painterly damask detailed with birds fruits and flowers. The design was painstakingly pieced together from four separate drawings all found in the archives of the renowned silk weaving mill Gainsborough. Now translated into a decadent runner it’s woven from sumptuously soft British wool by Axminster Carpets, creators of the worlds finest floor coverings since 1755.
